Hey peeps, i've become a DRAMA ADDICT. 
Besides KDrama, that's like stating the obvious.
No no, i've become addicted to *drumroll* AMERICAN DRAMAS.
aka. America Television Series.
You know those with many many seasons. Whee.
I'm currently watching:

GOSSIP GIRL SEASON 4


I swear. This is not really me.
(Well maybe only a teeny weeny bit is me.)
Ok fine, I kinda like it?
But I do not plead guilty to watching the first 3 seasons.
I remember watching Season 1 Episode 1, and then immediately deciding that Gossip Girl was not worth my time.
Another reason was because, it is DAMN hard to find Gossip Girl Episodes online.
(or for that matter, all sorts of AMERICAN DRAMAS!)
I  could only find on TUDOU and the loading time was like forever!
So being the impatient me, I decided I could live w/o watching GG.
Until I found a HEALTHY season 4 GG streaming site, and decided why not?
I'm quite happy with my latest find, and I don't intend to watch the season backwards because
I've kinda gotten the storyline and Its not that hard to follow. Everything's on WIKI.
And the evil person plotting to takedown Serena is intriguing.

CRIMINAL MINDS SEASON 2


"To catch a criminal, you have to think like one"
This makes me feel so unguilty.
Cos i know when I watch this show, I got freaked out, but i get smarter.
I'm actually happy I went for the outing on Friday with the gang, and they introduced me to Criminal Minds.
It is really good, so good, I'm gonna bring the whole series over to China. Yay for techie-ness.
It's suspense, drama, wit, action and excellent acting all rolled into one.
It's different from C.S.I and NCIS (don't really like it), this is analytical.
They analyse the behaviour of a criminal, and then solve the case.
And when you watch them think in the perspective of the criminal, its just so mind-boggling.
I know its just acting, but even if you don't believe the actors are smart, at least watch it
for the awesome plot line and more than excellent script writers.
Its more than murder, its about psychology, planning, fear and so much more!
And btw, they're in the BAU- Behavioral Analysis Unit, kinda says alot.

Hello CHILDHOOD.

I like this one better. This is the 1964 version theme song. 
The catchy part is the "SNAP SNAP" part!
And they're so morbid, they're awesome.
Actually i think beyond the morbidness, they send a message about the importance of family.
Cos when you watch it, they obviously are a close-knitted family.
Even though they don't really express it normally?, eg:
Wednesday (sister) shooting the BAZOOKA at Pugsley (brother)&
Fester (uncle) blowing himself up with dynamite to feel happy.
I've found my heaven~~
Obviously, they delight in the macabre, but so do I. Its so joyously satirical. I like~~
However, I'm currently watching The Addams Family animated series,
It was produced in 1992, but obviously, Oldies are the goodies.
So scoot over SPONGEBOB, the ADDAMS FAMILY REIGN SUPREME.
 

I wish I could go on field trips too, and have a science teacher like Ms Frizzle, then maybe
I would have gotten that elusive A* for my p6 science!

Ahh so many more childhood shows, show post them another time, after I finish enjoying
all my ANG MOR dramas.

Child abuse is an act that i can never condone.
Children do not deserve to be treated this way, and I always cry when I see stories about child abuse.
I always think that one day, i might just become an activist against child abuse, who knows? :)

The YOG is coming to a close in 3 days. NOOO.
but oh well, its a DISTRACTION! need less distractions :D
Anyway, there have been many comments by people regarding the YOG.
Bad food, Too expensive, Little media coverage etc.
Seriously, unsatisfied Singaporeans, get over yourselves.
Is it really that hard to feel a tad joyful for your country, for only 13 days?
Apparently so.
You know, you always hear how LKY is a dictator, practices nepotism, censors everything, the government are all puppet figures, etc.
Singapore is considered a pseudo first world country, because technically our country is ruled by ONE ruling party.
SO WHAT?
Puppet government or not, Singaporeans voted the government in.
Although i'm sure most dissidents would argue that the govt placed a knife at the people's neck,
or better still, gave out free buffet vouchers.
BS.
I don't deny that sometimes the education system makes me feel like stoning MOE.
Or like tearing up all my books and pulling out my hair.
But at the end of the day, the textbooks do make sense and this is the only way that we can effectively learn.
People are our nation's only resource, unless we are sitting on top of some underground diamond mine.
Which I highly doubt so.
So can't people see all this?!
I understand that discussion creates awareness and talk brings about change.
But there certainly isn't a fine line between,
1. CRAP
2. UNHAPPINESS
3. INTELLIGENT DISCUSSION--> CHANGE
Our society has become so demanding that sometimes I wonder, what went wrong?
Perhaps nothing went wrong, except for the fact that everything has been so smooth sailing.
And people have forgotten who we owe it to.
Just because I write this article in favour of the govt, does not make me a boot licker.
People just have to realise (whether they like it or not), that they owe the country to our founding fathers.
Certainly LKY may be in the spotlight most often, but that does not give him all the credit and neither does he deserve all the blame either.
If Singapore was truly built by us together, are people when complaining, pulling themselves down with the govt?
I certainly hope not, although it appears to be so.

Despite the YOG's excessive budget, and the lack of international media coverage which has led to failed attempts at generating interest in Singapore, I'd like to confidently say that the YOG has been a success with the youths be it Singaporeans or young athletes.
Maybe youths until a certain age, that is.
Certainly, there have been a fair share of unhappiness but there have also been joy.
And i'm sure many of my classmates would agree. (esp, because of the influx of cute ANG MOH guys)
eg. *THOMAS DALEY*
But i believe the YOG despite its many flaws, truly allows us as Singaporeans to know our limits.
Our country is small and because of the reliance on people, certainly brings about human error and human mistakes.
But there has to be something that makes us feel proud of being Singaporean, isn't there?
I know that the Singaporean identity is in us all, hibernating and never showing until it really has to.
Maybe it will when Singapore is in a crisis, and by then, I hope the dissidents, look into their hearts and lead themselves in the right direction for our country even if they don't do so now.

I remember a few years ago when I was in p5 i think, I remember reading an article about this baby polar bear who was abandoned by his mom after birth.
His name was Knut.
And he was German.
He looks like this

Its scary how fast we all grow up. And Knut's life is pretty sad.
After his mother abandoned him, a zookeeper looked after him.
The zookeeper was the closest thing Knut had to a mother.
But the zookeeper died of a heart attack two years later.
And Knut is so used to the attention he has always been receiving when he was cute,
that he cries when crowds are not watching him.
He definitely is not attention seeking.
I think he's just lonely.

We've been locked out again; denied entry.
And i feel their pain, because we are one.
I cried for them, for us, because,

We were so close, yet not close enough,
and our heads will lower, hopefully to rise:
a year later.

Whilst we search for that elusive key,

And their exit will not make things easier.

Life is a scary thing, it rarely makes you feel;

And i believe time, sweat and tears will tide us over this crisis.
